New $14M EV Charging Station Incentive Project Launches in San Jose

Starting December 16, 2020, businesses, commercial properties, multifamily residences, and local government facilities in Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties can apply for rebates for the purchase and installation of new electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure through the Peninsula-Silicon Valley Incentive Project.

This is part of the California Energy Commission’s California Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Project (CALeVIP), which aims to support and incentivize commercial and multifamily residential property owners to install EV charging infrastructure at their sites.

Eligible applicants may receive:

  • Up to $80,000 Per DC Fast Charger
  • Up to $5,500 Per Level 2 Connector

The application opens December 16, 2020. Rebates are expected to be in high demand, so applicants are encouraged to prepare ahead of time and apply quickly.
